🗣️ Message from the Chairperson, Max
We had a very meaningful year, and we look forward to another amazing year of promoting Cantonese language and culture, bridging gaps between the local Irish and Cantonese communities in Ireland! We’re delighted to welcome Grace and Debbie as our new committee members. I’m confident their enthusiasm and fresh perspectives will make a positive impact on our plans and initiatives this year.
I want to take a moment to sincerely thank Hilda and Chris for their remarkable dedication over the past three years. As our former Secretary, Hilda played a vital role in keeping our communication and events running seamlessly. She organised many memorable gatherings, including our annual flagship Dún Laoghaire Parade, and brought her creativity and warmth as a music educator, adding artistic energy to everything we do.
Meanwhile, as our Ethics Officer, Chris ensured our community remained inclusive, respectful, and welcoming to all. He also took the lead in organising engaging activities such as the Mahjong Tournament, creating meaningful spaces for cultural connection and fun. His perspective as a medical professional has been invaluable in promoting wellbeing and upholding ethical standards within the group. We're lucky that they will continue to contribute to our cause as volunteers.

我哋上年一齊完成咗好多有意義嘅事情。並期待新一年繼續推廣粵語同粵文化，促進愛爾蘭本地社群同粵語社群之間嘅交流同聯繫。我哋誠意歡迎 Grace 同 Debbie 加入成為新任幹事。相信佢哋嘅熱誠同新觀點，可以為本年度嘅計劃同活動帶嚟正面影響。
我想真誠咁多謝 Hilda 同 Chris 喺過去三年嘅傑出貢獻。作為前任秘書，Hilda 喺溝通同活動安排方面發揮咗關鍵角色。佢負責策劃多個令人難忘嘅活動，包括我哋一年一度嘅旗艦活動, Dún Laoghaire 遊行，並以一位音樂教育工作者嘅創意同熱誠，為社群帶嚟藝術氣息同活力。同時，身為道德操守幹事嘅 Chris，一直確保社群保持包容、尊重同友善。佢亦主辦咗多個好受歡迎嘅活動，例如麻雀比賽，為大家提供咗一個文化交流同聯誼嘅好平台。作為一位醫護專業人士，佢嘅專業見解對我哋促進社群健康同堅持道德準則，都起咗重要作用。我哋好幸運，佢哋會以義工身份繼續支持同貢獻畀我哋嘅社群。
