Cantonese in Ireland has decided to discontinue our use of X.
This decision is based on our ongoing review of platform technologies and their suitability for use by organizations working with families, young people, and migrant communities. As part of this review, we considered recent developments on the platform, including the introduction of AI tools such as Grok AI, and assessed the potential risks associated with their use.
As a community organisation, we have a responsibility to ensure that the platforms we engage with are aligned with our values and our commitment to safety, dignity, and inclusion. At this time, we do not believe that continued use of X fully meets these standards.
Cantonese in Ireland will continue to communicate and engage with the public through alternative platforms that better reflect our organizational responsibilities and values. We remain committed to providing safe, inclusive, and supportive spaces for our community.
This isn’t a goodbye, it’s a move to our updated neighborhoods!
