September brings a new school year, a return to routine and, for many of us, a slightly busier pace. And this year, 25 September is Mid-Autumn Festival.
With mooncakes, lanterns, moon-gazing and gatherings with family and friends, Mid-Autumn Festival is a celebration with a rich cultural tradition. For some, these are familiar traditions and childhood memories; for others, it may be a chance to discover something new about Cantonese culture - and perhaps try a mooncake or two along the way!
Whether you celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival every year or are discovering it for the first time, we hope you can enjoy a little of the festive atmosphere, share some food and time with family and friends, and have a lovely time together.
Cantonese in Ireland
