[Re-cap] Cantonese in Ireland @ Dragon Boat Festival in Carlow

🐉🚣‍♂️ What a fantastic day at the Carlow Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday, 7 June!

Our Cheung Po Tsai team was proud to race and represent the Cantonese in Ireland. Thank you to everyone who paddled with us and to all who came to cheer us on. 💪👏

Special thanks to @dublinvikings Dragon Boat for training us and to the @irishdragonboat for organising a great event.

We shared Cantonese favourites including Sweetheart Cakes 老婆餅 and egg tarts, and observed a traditional custom wishing for safety, peace, and good fortune before racing.

Dragon boat racing is a cherished Cantonese tradition celebrating teamwork and community spirit. 🐉

我哋張保仔隊好榮幸可以參與今次賽事，代表粵語愛爾蘭出賽。多謝每一位隊員落力划槳，亦多謝到場打氣嘅朋友同家人！💪👏

特別鳴謝 Dublin Vikings Dragon Boat 一直以來嘅訓練同支持，以及 Irish Dragon Boat Association 籌辦今次精彩活動。

當日我哋仲同大家分享咗傳統廣東小食，包括老婆餅同蛋撻，並按照傳統習俗進行簡單祈福儀式，祝願大家平安順利。

龍舟競渡係重要嘅粵文化及傳統，象徵團結、堅毅同社群精神。🐉
