Tindy

Meet Tindy our qualified Accountant and Tax advisor

Hello, my name is Tindy and I am originally from Hong Kong. I have been on and off living in Ireland more than 15 years now. I work as a qualified Accountant and Tax advisor in Dublin. Prior to that, I obtained a registered nursing license which specializes in NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care) in Hong Kong. I worked in a private hospital for a bit longer than a year before I moved back to Dublin permanently.

There was a social media post that drawn my attention long time ago. A lady fought very hard that Traditional Chinese language to be accepted and recognised by leaving Cert examination in Ireland. I remember I signed the petition as well. It struck me. So when Cantonese Ireland is born, I have followed them since. I formally joined them about 2 years ago, a committee member invites me to join them as they need a hand for handling their financial and compliance obligation. It was great to be able to use my strength to help them.

My main responsibility is to handle their financial and compliance obligation. I have given a talk about the taxation in Ireland for some new immigrant before and I occasionally will join other committees to participate some events as well.

I hope the Cantonese immigrants will not feel lonely when they move to a foreign country by knowing that they can find brunch of people who can speak the same language with them, probably will have a same goal to preserve our own cultural heritage as well.
