Today is Tomb-sweeping Day, it is a day for Cantonese-speaking communities to remember their ancestors. In addition to visit the tombs of ancestors on this day, some people used to go swing.

The swings has always been a very popular leisure activity. Back in the days, people would take the opportunity of Tomb-sweeping Day to swing the most out of it.

In addition, the reason why it is done for thousands of years is that in traditional customs, swinging can drive away all kinds of diseases and pains, and the higher you go, the better people's life can be. It also forms a period of time close to the Tomb-sweeping Day, when family’s will come out and swing!
