HAPPY BLOOMSDAY!
🌧️ Despite the rain, our Cantonese Cultural Celebration on @bloomsdayfest last Saturday (14.06.2025), held as part of the Bloomsday Festival, was a joyful, literary-filled journey through Dublin!
The day began with a screening of selected scenes from Ulysses 🎬—from Sandycove Tower to Molly Bloom’s unforgettable monologue. A powerful introduction to Joyce’s world!
🎨🏆 We then honoured the winners of our drawing & Cantonese translation competitions:

Congrats to all! Your creativity brought Joyce to life in beautiful new ways. Special thanks to our judge, Lijing, for taking on the tough task of choosing among the wonderful entries.
🥪🍷 After a cosy lunch at The Duke Pub, we set off on a Joycean walking tour led by our wonderful Donald Robinson and Lisa Tsang, tracing Bloom’s footsteps across central Dublin. From gorgonzola sandwiches to lemon soap, literary trivia to iconic plaques, the city came alive in every stop.
✨ Each participant received a bar of Bloom’s famous lemon soap from Sweny’s—what better souvenir?
Thank you to all who braved the weather and made the day unforgettable. Here's to celebrating literature, language, and Cantonese culture—Joycean style! 🇭🇰📖💫

🥪🍷 喺歷史悠久嘅 The Duke Pub食完lunch之後，Donald Robinson 同 Lisa Tsang 就帶住我哋行一轉Joyce筆下嘅都柏林。我哋一路行一路搵牌匾，聽故事、玩文學小遊戲。一齊頕天望地，真係落雨都阻唔到我哋行完Bloom行過嗰條路！
✨ 最後每位參加者仲收到一件Bloom都鍾意、嚟自Sweny’s嘅檸檬香皂 🍋作為紀念，香噴噴又有意義！
