What brought you to Ireland? And what was your first impression of this place
Two of my friends previously came to Ireland on working holiday and study programmes, and they both highly recommended Ireland. So I’ve always had a very positive impression of the country. I also wanted to continue my studies, and when I discovered that Irish universities offered courses related to my profession and interests, I decided to come here to study and experience life in Ireland.

以前曾經有兩位朋友嚟過愛爾蘭打工假期同留學，都一致推介愛爾蘭，所以我對愛爾蘭一直有深刻嘅印象。加上我想再進修，發現呢度嘅大學有同我職業同興趣相關嘅課程，所以就決定過嚟讀書生活。
How did you start with Cantonese in Ireland?
I saw an event at my university co-organised by Cantonese in Ireland. As soon as I saw that it was about Cantonese, I signed up! That’s how I discovered the organisation. I was really happy to find activities in Ireland connected to Cantonese and Cantonese culture.

What have you done with Cantonese in Ireland?
I’ve taken part in Cantonese in Ireland’s mahjong competition and anniversary celebration. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and wanted to continue taking part in activities and meeting other people who share the same mother tongue. I later signed up as a volunteer, hoping to contribute in my own way to Cantonese culture in Ireland.

我參加過Cantonese in Ireland嘅麻雀大賽同周年慶祝活動，覺得好有氣氛，想繼續參與有關嘅活動，同認識其他擁有共同母語嘅人。之後報名成為義工，希望為愛爾蘭嘅廣東話文化出一分力。
What are your hopes for Cantonese immigrants in Ireland?
I hope Cantonese-speaking immigrants in Ireland can settle into life here while also preserving and passing on Cantonese culture. I hope Cantonese in Ireland can be a place that brings everyone together. :)
