A big congratulations to Jessica Hunter, this year’s Kildare Rose, as she returns to the Rose of Tralee journey 10 years after first taking part! For anyone new to Ireland, the Rose of Tralee is a much-loved Irish festival celebrating women from Ireland and Irish communities around the world, and their stories and connections to Ireland. Jessica grew up between Kildare and Hong Kong, with an Irish mam and a Hong Kong dad, and has spoken proudly about embracing “the blend of both cultures” that have shaped her. As a Cantonese community in Ireland, it’s especially lovely to see someone with our heritage represented on such a recognisably Irish stage. Congratulations, Jessica! We’re delighted to celebrate your journey and wish you every success!
