Dragonboat training /

Thanks to all your unwavering support to our dragon boat racers! We helped by doing a post and a newsletter to ask people to sign their petition to keep the storage space at Dublin port. Since we have helped in Dublin Vikings’ protest, the Dragonboat race training can go on with a discounted price.

The CII racers have successfully done two more training sessions on 10th and 17th of May, and will now head on to the Barrow Dragon Boat Regatta 2025 which will be held on Sunday, 8th June 2025 on the River Barrow, Carlow Town Park, Graiguecullen, Co. Carlow. If you can, go to watch and cheer for them!

地點係River Barrow, Carlow Town Park, Graiguecullen, Co. Carlow。

Cantonese Culture Workshops in Schools

We had a blast hosting two Cantonese language and culture workshops in early May! They took place on the 1st at Firhouse Educate Together Secondary School and on the 8th at Belvedere College.

Our team introduced students to the rich flavors of Hong Kong’s food and festive traditions, taught them some handy Cantonese words and phrases, and got creative making miniature paper lanterns together.

The students were super enthusiastic and loved discovering surprising connections between Irish and Cantonese culture, it was truly an eye-opening experience for everyone involved!

Big thanks to both schools for welcoming us and to the students for their amazing energy. Can’t wait for more workshops like this!

If you’d like us to run a free culture workshop at a school, we’d be delighted to hear from you. Feel free to get in touch!

Our school project is sponsored by Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth.

Bilingual Storytelling in Cork City Library /

May 11 at Cork City Library, we celebrated love, creativity, and language through a bilingual story session in Cantonese and English. Just in time for Mother’s Day in Hong Kong, we shared the touching tale of a little boy determined to reach the moon for his mother — a beautiful reminder of a child's love and devotion. Inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s “Ladder to the Moon”, the children created their own artwork using paint, tape, straws, and pipe cleaners.
